The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Croatia, hereinafter referred to as “the Parties”,

Guided by the desire to strengthen friendly relations and cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Croatia,

Desiring to facilitate the travel of nationals of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Croatia, who are holders of valid diplomatic passports,

Have agreed as follows:

Article 1

Nationals of the State of one Party, holders of a valid diplomatic passport, shall be exempted from the visa requirement to enter, exit from, transit through and stay in the territory of the State of the other Party for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days in any 180-day period.

Article 2

Nationals of the State of one Party, holders of a valid diplomatic passport who are members of a diplomatic mission, consular post or representatives in an international organisation located in the territory of the State of the other Party, as well as their family members forming part of their household who are holders of a valid diplomatic passport, may enter, stay in and leave the territory of the State of the other Party without a visa for the entire period of their assignment, provided that they have complied with the accreditation requirements of the other Party within thirty (30) days of their arrival in the territory of the State of the other Party.

Article 3

1. Nationals of the State of either Party, whose diplomatic passport is lost or damaged during their stay in the territory of the State of the other Party, shall inform the competent authorities of the receiving State.

2. The diplomatic mission or consular post of the State of the Party concerned shall issue to its nationals a new travel document.

Article 4

Nationals of the State of either Party mentioned in Articles 1 and 2 of this Agreement may enter and leave the territory of the State of the other Party at any border crossing points open to international passenger traffic.

Article 5

Each Party reserves the right to refuse entry into, or shorten the stay in the territory of its State of any national of the State of the other Party whom it may consider undesirable.

Article 6

This Agreement shall not affect the obligation of nationals of the State of either Party to abide by the laws and regulations currently in force in the territory of the State of the other Party.

Article 7

1. Each Party reserves the right to suspend temporarily, either in whole or in part, the application of this Agreement for reasons of national security, public order or public health.

2. The decision to suspend the application of this Agreement, or to rescind the suspension, shall be notified to the other Party in writing through diplomatic channels not later than seventy-two (72) hours before its entry into force.

3. The suspension of the application of this Agreement introduced by either Party shall not affect the rights of the nationals of the State of the other Party, mentioned in the Articles 1 and 2 of this Agreement, who are already staying in the territory of the State of the Party concerned.

Article 8

1. For the purposes of this Agreement, the Parties shall exchange through diplomatic channels the specimens of their diplomatic passports as well as a detailed description of such documents, currently used, not later than thirty (30) days after signing this Agreement.

2. Each Party shall also transmit to the other, through diplomatic channels, specimens of its new or modified diplomatic passports, including a detailed description of such documents at least thirty (30) days before their introduction.

Article 9

Any disputes arising from the interpretation or application of this Agreement shall be settled amicably by consultations or negotiations between the Parties.

Article 10

This Agreement may be amended at any time by mutual written consent of the Parties. Any such amendment, which shall form an integral part of this Agreement, shall enter into force as provided for in Article 11 of this Agreement.

Article 11

1. This Agreement shall enter into force thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of the last written notification by which the Parties have notified each other through diplomatic channels of the completion of their internal procedures required for the entry into force of this Agreement.

2. This Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period of time.

3. Either Party may terminate this Agreement at any time by written notification to the other Party through diplomatic channels. In such a case this Agreement shall cease to be in force thirty (30) days from the date on which such notification has been received by the other Party.

Done at New York on 24 September 2025, in two originals, each in the Uzbek, Croatian, and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of any divergence of interpretation of this Agreement, the English text shall prevail.
