Agreement
between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia
On mutual exemption from short-stay visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports

The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, hereinafter referred to jointly as the “Contracting Parties” and separately as the “Contracting Party”;
Desirous to strengthen the relations between both countries, on a reciprocal basis;
Desiring to facilitate the movement of their nationals holding valid diplomatic passports, between their respective territories,
Have agreed as follows:
Article 1
In accordance with the provisions of this Agreement, the nationals of either Contracting Party, holding valid diplomatic passports, shall be allowed to enter into, transit through, stay in and leave the territory of the other Contracting Party without a visa for a period, which does not exceed ninety (90) days in any period of one hundred and eighty (180) days.
Article 2
This Agreement shall apply to the following categories of passports:
For the Republic of Uzbekistan: valid diplomatic passports;
For the Republic of Slovenia: valid diplomatic passports.
Article 3
1. The nationals of the Republic of Uzbekistan, holding valid diplomatic passports may stay in the territory of the Republic of Slovenia for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days in any period of one hundred and eighty (180) days.
2. The nationals of the Republic of Slovenia, holding valid diplomatic passports, may stay in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days in any period of one hundred and eighty (180) days.
3. This Agreement shall not affect the possibility of the Contracting Parties to extend the period of stay beyond ninety (90) days, in accordance with the respective national laws and regulations in force.
Article 4
This Agreement does not exempt the members of Diplomatic Missions and Consular Posts in addition to representatives of International Organizations, located in the territory of the other Contracting Party, as well as their family members forming part of their household, holding valid diplomatic passports, from the visa obligation for their accreditation before the entry into the territory of the receiving country.
Article 5
Nationals holding the passports mentioned in Article 2 of this Agreement may enter into, transit through and exit the territory of the other Contracting Party at all points designated for international passenger traffic, provided that the required formalities are met, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in both countries.
Article 6
This Agreement does not exempt nationals of either Contracting Party from their obligation to abide by the laws and regulations in force in the country of the other Contracting Party when entering its territory and staying in it.
Article 7
The present Agreement shall not affect the right of the Contracting Parties, on grounds of public order or national security, to refuse entry into and stay in their respective territories or to reduce the duration of stay or to terminate it in their territory of any national of the country of the other Contracting Party holding a valid diplomatic passport who has been declared persona non grata or who fails to meet the conditions in force for entry and stay in the territory of one of the Contracting Parties.
Article 8
1. The Contracting Parties shall exchange, through diplomatic channels, specimens of the passports mentioned in Article 2 of this Agreement no later than thirty (30) days following the date of signature of this Agreement.
2. In case of the introduction of new diplomatic passports or modification of the existing ones, the Contracting Parties shall provide to each other, through diplomatic channels, with specimens of the new or modified passports, including details of their security features and applicability, no later than thirty (30) days prior to their introduction.
3. The Contracting Parties shall provide each other with information on cancelled diplomatic passports directly or indirectly, through Interpol.
Article 9
1. The Contracting Parties may suspend the Agreement, in whole or in part, for reasons of national security, public order or public health. Each Contracting Party shall immediately, no later than in seventy-two (72) hours, notify the other Contracting Party, through diplomatic channels, of the introduction of such measures.
2. The suspension shall not affect the rights of nationals holding valid diplomatic passports who have already entered the territory of the other Contracting Party.
Article 10
The present Agreement and the activities resulting from it shall not be interpreted as interfering with any obligations which the Contracting Parties may have under international agreements or from their membership in international organizations.
Article 11
Any dispute arising from the interpretation or implementation of this Agreement shall be settled, amicably, by consultations or negotiations between the Contracting Parties through diplomatic channels.
Article 12
This Agreement may be amended at any time by the mutual written consent of the Contracting Parties. Such amendments shall enter into force according to Article 13, paragraph 1.
Article 13
1. The Agreement shall enter into force on the first day of the month following the date of receipt of the last of the notifications, by which the Contracting Parties notify each other in writing and through diplomatic channels that their internal legal procedures required for the entry into force of the Agreement have been completed.
2. This Agreement shall be concluded for an indefinite period of time. Either Contracting Party may terminate the Agreement at any time by written notification to the other Contracting Party. The Agreement shall be terminated ninety (90) days following the receipt of such notification.
Done in Ljubljana, on 22 May 2025, in two original copies, in the Uzbek, Slovenian, and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of any divergence in interpretation, the English text snail prevail.
