In accordance with the Regulation on the procedure for the appointment and payment of state pensions, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 592 dated October 13, 2022, the payment of pensions to pensioners shall be suspended in the following cases:

• Upon expiration of the pension payment period;
• When a pensioner leaves the Republic of Uzbekistan and does not return to the Republic of Uzbekistan for a period exceeding three months;
• When a recipient of an early old-age pension enters employment;
• When the pension is not received through the organization entrusted with the delivery (handing over) of pensions for a period exceeding three consecutive months;
• When a pensioner is deprived of liberty (with the exception of persons serving a sentence in settlement colonies);
• When a pensioner resides in Social Support Centers for persons with mental disorders;
• When a pensioner applies for the suspension of pension payment via an application or questionnaire;
• When a search is announced for persons hiding from the bodies of inquiry, investigation, and the court or evading criminal punishment, or when a person is missing;
• When a person who has granted a power of attorney fails to appear within the established timeframe to confirm the right to the pension appointed to them.

         When a pensioner leaves the Republic of Uzbekistan and does not return to the Republic of Uzbekistan for more than three months, the payment of their pension shall be temporarily suspended. In such cases, the payment of the temporarily suspended pension shall be reinstated after the pensioner returns to Uzbekistan.

         Pursuant to Article 59 of the Law "On State Pension Provision of Citizens" and the Regulation on the procedure for the appointment and payment of state pensions, pension amounts calculated for a pensioner but not claimed by them in a timely manner shall be paid for a period not exceeding twenty-four months prior to the date of application for the receipt of the pension.
